The Advancements of Dentures

Posted .

The advancements of dentures can be seen all around. At one point in time, societies were even using crocodile teeth as replacements for missing teeth. Thankfully, today’s artificial enhancements are not only vastly more comfortable, but also much more natural looking, and healthier.

If tooth loss has caused you to have any eating and speaking impediments, dentures can provide better conditions to prevent any such impediments from occurring. Even if you had food in your diet that was causing you pain and discomfort from eating with missing teeth, dentures can once again make those foods a potential staple in your diet once more.

Thanks to advances in technology, Forsyth Dental Center has a highly skilled team that can craft for you a set of dentures that are very comfortable and natural-looking. Whether you only lack a few missing teeth and need a partial set or if you have lost all your teeth due to an oral accident, tooth decay, gum disease, or other oral ailment and need a complete set of dentures, we can assist you.

Dentures act the same way as your natural teeth, but caring for them is easier than you may think. Cleaning your dentures must be done daily, but not with toothpaste or other overly abrasive or harmful materials such as teeth whiteners, bleach, or hot water. Soak them overnight in plain water or an approved cleaning solution to ensure they never dry out. However, since they are removable they can be damaged or broken much easier, so they must be handled with care.
